I have a constant case of the travel bug. I’m always browsing the internet looking for my next dream destination. Unfortunately, some of my dream vacations are way outside of my budget. The Perfect Places for a Solitary Vacation

Have you ever thought about going on a vacation by yourself? Over the past few years, I’ve gone on several of what I like to call “solitary adventures” whenever I’m in desperate need of a getaway. As a lover of music, and live music specifically, I’ve been to my fair share of concerts. My first was the Backstreet Boys in 2007 on their Never Gone tour. My favorite memory of that show is how mesmerized I was by the experience. I danced and sang the night away and worried about nothing but enjoying the music. Baldwin’s Book Barn, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, has five massive floors filled with shelves of an endless variety of books! Baldwin’s Book Barn is set in a beautiful location, and you guessed it, was remodeled from an old barn! The owners of this marvelous bookstore have done a fantastic job blending olden charm with practicality, so that all who enter immediately feel at home. When you get inside you will be handed a map to guide you through the vast floors and rooms that are filled with books! Feel free to ask plenty of questions! As a coffee lover, it seems only fair that I tell you about my favorite coffee shop on Long Island. Forget the typical Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. I’m talking about the independently owned coffee shop, where the employees know who you are and where the environment is comfortable and welcoming. Not only is the coffee in these places great, it is also an awesome atmosphere to hang out with friends, people watch, read a book, or study.
